  • He helps us.
Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

  • He guides us 
St. John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 



  • He teaches us 
St. John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever —

  • He speaks
Revelation 2:7 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.


  • He reveals
1 Corinthians 2:10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.


  • He instructs 
The Acts 2:29 "Fellow Israelites, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day.

  • He testifyes about Jesus Christ
St. John 15:26 "When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father —the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father —he will testify about me.

  • He comforts us
The Acts 9:31 Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.


  • He calls us
Acts 13 vs 2
The Acts 13:2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."


10. He fills us

The Acts 4:31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

  •  He strengthens us
 Ephesians 3:16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,

  • He prays for us

  • He bears witness to the truth
Romans 9:1 I speak the truth in Christ —I am not lying, my conscience confirms it through the Holy Spirit —

  • He gives joy
1 Thessalonians 1:6 You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.

  • He gives freedom
2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

  • He helps obey
1 Peter 1:22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.

  • He calls for Jesus return
Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let the one who hears say, "Come!" Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

  • He transforms us
2 Corinthians 3:18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

  • He lives in us
1 Corinthians 3:16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?

  • He frees us
Romans 8:21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.
